Story about Le Cinciole Chianti Classico DOCG find out?

Chianti Classico DOCG from Le Cinciole

100% Sangiovese, 100% organic, 100% Panzano, 100% pleasure

The basis of the Le Cinciole range is - how could it be otherwise - Chianti Classico. It is made from one hundred percent Sangiovese, the indigenous leading variety of Chianti Classico. The grapes are harvested by hand, during which a pre-selection is carried out. The quality of the grapes is then checked again with the utmost care at the vibrating console. For alcoholic fermentation, the grapes are placed in cement tanks for around 15 days at a maximum temperature of 28 degrees, where the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation. The young wine is then left to mature for twelve months in large, traditional oak barrels with a maximum capacity of 2,000 liters. A tip among wine connoisseurs: this Chianti Classico made from one hundred percent Sangiovese should be given some time after bottling. But if you have a little patience, you will get many times the pleasure back. And this pleasure is also available in a 1.5 liter magnum bottle in an elegant wooden box.

Podere Le Cinciole: a little paradise in Tuscany

Over the past 20 years, Valeria and Luca Orsini, the owners of Le Cinciole, have succeeded in building up an exemplary wine estate in the heart of what is probably the most famous wine region in the world - Chianti Classico. When the two took over the estate, which is located not far from the village of Panzano in Chianti in Tuscany, in 1991, they were both absolute newcomers as winegrowers. A total of 30 hectares of land belong to the estate, 13 hectares of which are used as vineyards. At an altitude of between 400 and 450 meters above sea level, not only do vines grow here, but also around 1,000 olive trees on an area of five hectares, from whose fruit an excellent extra virgin olive oil is pressed. The two realized what a great responsibility they had taken on with this land. This is why they decided that the cultivation should be organic and sustainable from now on. As a result, Le Cinciole was certified organic back in the early 1990s. And so it was that the absolute newcomers to winegrowing became passionate early adopters of organic farming.

Red wines and rosato with the organic plus of enjoyment from Chianti Classico

The Orsinis' main focus is undoubtedly on the indigenous Sangiovese grape variety, the leading variety in Tuscany. Of course, international grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah also grow at Le Cinciole - but to a much lesser extent. This is because international grapes are only used for two of the six wines at Le Cinciole: For the Camalaione, which is made from 70 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 percent Syrah and 15 percent Merlot. These grapes come from the estate's oldest vineyards. For the "little brother", the Cinciorosso, on the other hand, grapes from young vineyards are used: 70 percent Sangiovese, 15 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 percent Syrah and 5 percent Merlot are vinified for the Cinciorosso. The rest of the Le Cinciole range is made exclusively from Sangiovese: both the palatable Le Cinciole Chianti Classico DOCG, the powerful Aluigi Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG and the top wine of the house, the Petresco Toscana IGT, are 100 percent Sangiovese. And yes, the Rosato Toscana IGT is also made exclusively from the classic "Chianti grape" at Le Cinciole. And what gives Le Cinciole wines their very special character? Quite simply: the wine "listens" to the sounds of "Radio Classico Toscana" in the cellar, which has a positive effect on the end product - Luca Orsini is firmly convinced of this.

Typical terroir, state-of-the-art technology & absolute sustainability

The goal that Valeria and Luca pursue with their wines: You should taste and feel the terroir so typical of Panzano from the very first sip, and in the highest quality. The foundation for this is laid with the use of traditional working methods, to which they are increasingly returning. This also goes hand in hand with the organic and sustainable cultivation of the vineyards. Pesticides out and organic methods in has been the motto at Le Cinciole since the 1990s. Valeria and Luca are also supported by state-of-the-art technology: data is collected and evaluated in real time using sensors on the vines. If deviations occur, they can intervene immediately in an emergency. The result: the use of pesticides is prevented, the vines are optimally cared for and ultimately deliver the best possible quality. Top quality in every respect - this could also be the motto of the two apartments that await holidaymakers and wine lovers at Le Cinciole: two lovingly furnished apartments for four people each in the middle of the vineyard, vineyards and forests as far as the eye can see, a picturesque pool and the most beautiful excursion destinations in Tuscany, Siena, Florence and of course Panzano, just a stone's throw away - these are the perfect conditions for an unforgettable dream vacation.
