This is what summer tastes like in Tuscany

Since the 2017 vintage, Il Palagio di Panzano has brought color and freshness to the glass – with the Rosato Aldemara. And what a wine! From the first sip, it's clear: This wine simply lifts your spirits. 100% Sangiovese, hand-harvested, freshly pressed, and fermented at a cool 14°C in stainless steel tanks. This maintains a delicate pink color, wonderfully fresh, and full of fruity aromas.

The aroma: sweet cherries, red berries, and a hint of white blossoms. Perhaps these are the very flowers that Monia's grandmother Aldemara used to cut in her garden—she can be seen at work on the label, by the way. "Naming such a vibrant wine after my 'Nonna' was the most beautiful way for me to honor her," says Monia. My tip: enjoy well chilled—preferably immediately.

Il Palagio di Panzano – real craftsmanship from the Chianti Classico

Monia Piccini took over the winery from her father, and today she and her husband Franco run it with passion, expertise, and a great deal of Tuscany. Both are Panzanese natives—born and raised in Panzano, and deeply rooted in the region.

Il Palagio's vineyards are located in the best locations of the Conca d'Oro, the famous "Golden Valley." There, the Sangiovese vines enjoy plenty of sun during the day, while the high altitude brings pleasant coolness at night. This is perfect for wines with character – and that's exactly what's cultivated here. Merlot? Yes, in the past, but not anymore, as the focus now is clearly on Sangiovese.

Organic, logical! Sustainability with taste

Il Palagio has been officially certified organic since 2013, and has been operating entirely sustainably since 2007. Panzano is now considered a model region for organic viticulture in Italy, and Il Palagio is one of the pioneers. Quality, environmental awareness, and craftsmanship – you can feel and taste it in every bottle.

Currently in our range you will find the fruity Chianti Classico , the elegant Chianti Classico Riserva , the noble Chianti Classico Gran Selezione “Le Bambole” and of course the fresh Rosato “Aldemara”.

The Ignobile and Torgentile wines are now part of the winery's history - the focus today is on what Il Palagio di Panzano does best: Sangiovese in its most beautiful form.

Agriturismo Il Palagio – Holidays with heart

If you want to experience Tuscany beyond just drinking, then Monia and Franco are the perfect place for you. Their agriturismo is a true gem – a lovingly restored stone house with romantic rooms and apartments, secluded terraces, a Mediterranean garden, and a pool with a stunning view.

And when you stroll through the vineyards to the Piazza of Panzano, enjoy pasta in one of the small restaurants, or simply celebrate the sunset over the Conca d'Oro with a glass of rosé, you know: This is what Tuscany feels like.
