Panzano in Chianti – the heart of Chianti Classico

Exactly between Florence and Siena lies Panzano in Chianti , a traditional wine town with 595 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 300 to 475 meters. Panzano is famous above all for the legendary Conca d'Oro , the "Golden Valley", one of the most important locations in Chianti Classico.

In the center, on Piazza Bucciarelli, beats the heart of the village – the famous Vino al Vino wine festival takes place here every year. Since 1995, the winegrowers have been united in the Unione Viticoltori di Panzano . Today, it comprises 23 wineries committed to shared values: top quality, sustainability, and strong community spirit.

Panzano was also one of the first regions in Italy to be officially recognized as an organic district . Almost all vineyards are farmed organically—a strong symbol of respect for nature and the terroir. The wines from Panzano thus represent authenticity, originality, and the essence of Chianti Classico.
